ABOUT ME

I work to rediscover and revive Chamorro Pottery, sculpting the clay as our manmofo’na (those who came before) once did. Inspired by forms and motifs over three millennia old, I seek to reclaim knowledge lost to foreign ambitions and ideology. I aim to walk in the footsteps of my ancestors.

My goal is to explore and preserve the cultural heritage of the Marianas. What began as a documentary project to chronicle our traditions quickly became a personal journey of reconnection to my indigenous identity. Clay became more than material – it became a way to experience culture, history, and identity in my own hands.

My documentary is scheduled for release in December, and I am committed to sharing this knowledge through community workshops and demonstrations. I want to keep the tradition alive, connecting past and present while giving back to the people and islands that shaped it. This work is a journey into clay, culture, and Indigenous identity.
